Summer Music: David Byrne and St. Vincent

The former music critic in me should be ashamed. Lately I’ve been so terrible at keeping up with new music that Scott’s actually come home and caught me listening to Lite 98. (I can explain!) So here’s the first in a series of posts about great new music for your next road trip, or just plain sitting around and breastfeeding, which is what I’m doing a lot of right now.
David Byrne is one of my all-time-favorites. He’s in constant motion making music, releasing eclectic bands on his label, championing bike-riding, making art and more. Here he collaborates with Annie Clarke (a.k.a. St. Vincent) on a quirky album with a big horn section called “Love this Giant.” Get a free EP at Check it out.
Also worth a listen is David Byrne Radio. Each month he streams a themed playlist. This month it’s “King of Country” in honor of George Jones’ passing. You never know what he’ll do next.
