I’m excited to share that my first article for House Beautiful magazine is out this month. I interviewed interior designer Markham Roberts about a Nashville home he renovated. (I’ll post the full article soon.)
The house resonated with me because the owners had Roberts work in family heirloom antiques to create a comfortable setting that wasn’t too precious for their kids and would set the stage for casual entertaining. That’s pretty much exactly what I’m looking for in a home. One trick I noticed he uses to balance antiques is to pair them with contemporary photography, like in this dining room below. I love that.
