Brunch Porn: Gluttony at The Roosevelt

The Roosevelt Richmond Cheers to this amazing brunch we had at The Roosevelt in Richmond’s Church Hill neighborhood. Yes, there are eight meals for six people. Don’t judge. I’ve been researching the ‘hood for a story I’m working on and am absolutely in love. Witness: pork belly shrimp and  grits with poached egg, below. (And I even found a ricotta pancake recipe because of the amazing one’s in the center of the table.) Church Hill is the epicenter of a food scene that’s quickly gaining national recognition. The Roosevelt chef Lee Gregory has twice been nominated for a James Beard Award and his bar program is gets props, too. It was just named to Esquire’s 25 Best Bars in America. Have a great weekend.

We discovered Lemon Ricotta pancakes here in Sausalito and they’re amazing! Ian tried substituting with goat cheese at home and let’s just say it wasn’t the same. 🙂
